how can we cultivate discernment in times of transformation?
The workshop draws on ideas explored in ABSCISSION, a new artist book by Dani d'Emilia exploring release as a relational practice of care.
Through performance documentation and visual works, accompanied by critical, poetic writing, Dani engages their experiences of hysterectomy and non-binary mastectomy as entry points into wider questions of transformation, queerness, ecology and more-than-human kinship, inviting readers to move from overwhelm towards wonder with radical tenderness.
This workshop is presented as part of CEREMONY, Future Ritual’s festival of performance art.
to participate
- £100 - If you have external funding or are financially secure, you are comfortably able to afford modest luxuries like overseas holidays or to set money aside in savings.
- £80 - If you have a reliable source of income that more than covers your basic financial needs, you don't have to worry about the costs of nights out. Code: DE80
- £60 - If your income covers your needs with some left over, but you budget consciously and wouldn’t describe yourself as financially secure. Code: DE60
- £30 - If you work for minimum wage or have a similarly low & precarious income. The number of the lowest tier places is limited to five in this workshop. Code: DE30

Please note that tickets are non-refundable if you have to cancel your place. However if the workshop sells out and we can resell a cancelled ticket, we will be able to offer a refund.

Practices of Ecological Reconfiguration is offered as part of our festival, CEREMONY. Participants can access discounted tickets (£10) to the Wednesday and Thursday performances, during booking, or at a later date.
