Future Ritual is a practice of gathering, curating and organising.
We collaborate with artists to create contemporary expressions of performance and ritual, working to support the emergence of new and more attuned cultures.
We understand performance art and experiential practices as potent ways of connecting with ourselves, each other, and the places we inhabit. Against the alienation and fragmentation of contemporary life, Future Ritual fosters spaces to think and feel through land, desire, belief, mystery and death.

our work
We centre live practices, particularly those rooted in action and body art, durational and material led processes. We are committed to complexity and sensitivity. We welcome risk and difficulty. We collaborate and curate across duration and geography. We value long term collaboration. We work with artists at all stages of their careers. Our projects span residencies, performances, workshops and festivals. We work locally, nationally and internationally from our home in London (UK). We are drawn to those who foreground sensitivity and attunement to time, space, mystery, body and site, and whose practices call us towards the raw edges of experience.
We are curators of performance art and other embodied practices.
We produce unique projects in unexpected places in collaboration with artists.
You can watch documentation of some of the performances and projects we have co-created, online.
contact & connect
We welcome those who feel a resonance with our work to be in touch by email: producing@futureritual.co.uk
You can join our mailing list to stay updated about our projects.
If you have wider artistic questions or want to workshop ideas for project, you might want to make use of our consultancy service.
We are a small team (currently working a total of 16 hours a week) so please do be patient if replies are slow.
Our curatorial programmes are usually programmed through invitation, though some performance platforms, like ALMANAC and DISCHARGE are programmed through open call.
We are open to receiving proposals to our email address, but generally prefer to get to know artists and their work before deciding to work together.
There are lots of ways we get to know artists - including by attending performances and events, and having studio visits (in-person or online, and we can also host in Deptford, London).
If you’d like to invite us to your things, or if you have a project or idea you’d like to explore presenting or producing with Future Ritual, please reach out by email.
Our artist development activities are generally open call and this is also a good way for us to meet artists and establish new relationships. We also produce work and offer project management services.
