Rona Lee

Rona Lee is a fine artist based in London working across studio based and contextually responsive projects. Rooted in performance her practice operates in an expanded manner combining live action, photography, sculpture, video, collage and other forms of intervention. Lee has exhibited and been commissioned widely within the UK and beyond and received a variety of prizes and award - most recently the Acme Studios Jonathan Harvey Tenant Award 25-6. 

She is currently Visiting Professor at De Montfort University, Leicester and was Professor of Fine Art at Northumbria University 2013 -21.

Recent work has explored the human/more-than-human entanglements of contemporary life including: ‘mineralis insurrexi’, Worlds Away, MAC, Birmingham (2023); ‘An Extractive Index’ and 'Modern Lapidary', Lithic Entanglements, Sedgwick Museum of Earth Science, Cambridge (2024); ‘Litho/Domous', The Geological Unconscious, Hypha HQ London (2025) 'EyeSore', NewArt@Home (2026)
