Like the rhizomatic woodlands, The Trembling Forest proposes the relational interconnection between beings as a life force, where a sense of self is inseparable from collective togetherness, where fixed binaries of identity have no sway, & where survival depends on connectivity rather than individualistic enterprise or patriarchal linearity.
Future Ritual is pleased to announce The Trembling Forest, a new performance project by the artist emilyn claid. Using Live Art and choreographic methods, emilyn will undertake a process of research towards a new collaborative performance work, alongside a series of discursive, pedagogical and participatory activities which document and share her research into intergenerational queer exchange.
The Trembling Forest is produced by Future Ritual and will premiere at our forthcoming festival, with performances on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th April 2025.
